Analysis has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys linked to Jeffrey Epstein are said to have touched down at and left UK airports, with some reportedly carrying women from the UK who assert they were exploited by the found guilty sex offender.
These aviation records were part of thousands of legal papers and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the previous twelve months. The investigation uncovered 87 flights connected to Epstein â including many that were previously unknown â arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Unidentified âfemalesâ were listed among the travelers travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these British airport journeys occurred subsequent to Epsteinâs 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a child.
âThis is âappallingâ that there had never been a âcomprehensive British inquiryâ into his activities in the country,â remarked American attorneys acting for numerous Epstein victims.
Evidence from one of the British victims was instrumental in convicting Epsteinâs accomplice socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has not received any contact by police in the UK, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the Metropolitan police indicated they had ânot received any further evidence that would support restarting the probe.â They noted, âIf fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.â
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the American government in relation to Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of documents are projected to be released.
In a related development, a federal judge ruled last week that the department could publicly release evidence from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epsteinâs close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
