Real Madrid's winger Issues Regret to Real Madrid Supporters

The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his reaction when taken off in the recent fiery Clasico clash triumph.

Vinicius was substituted in the 72nd minute and displayed his frustration by walking immediately down the tunnel.

He later returned to the dugout and, following his side's 2-1 victory, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during contentious final whistle incidents.

"This day I want to apologise to all the supporters for my response when I was substituted in the big match," he posted on social media.

"Just as I have said in person during this morning's practice, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the team, and the club president.

"At times passion takes over me because I continuously aim to triumph and assist my team. My competitive character comes from the passion I hold for this institution and all it stands for."

The player signed for Madrid from his former club in 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated 111 goals in more than 300 games.

But his career in the Spanish capital is far from certain with rumors in recent months indicating that Real would consider letting the player depart if they were to receive a appropriate bid.

When Vinicius was taken off on that day, TV coverage from broadcaster the platform picked him up remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I depart, I'm going."

In his latest message on X, the athlete commented: "I commit to keep battling at all times for the good of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
